FLIR Systems Acquires Cedip Infrared Systems

On Sept. 14, 2007, Flir Systems Inc. announced intentions to acquire controlling interests in Cedip Infrared Systems of Croissy-Beaubourg, France, a supplier of infrared cameras and stabilized systems. As of January 2008, the Flir–Cedip acquisition received authorization from the French Minister of Finance and Economy and steps are currently underway within both organizations to ensure a smooth transition for Cedip customers.

Since 2002, Electrophysics has been the exclusive distributor for Cedip manufactured infrared cameras and systems in the United States and Canada. It is anticipated that Electrophysics will continue to act as the supplier of Cedip product sales and product support through January 2009. Until that time, all Cedip camera sales and support issues should be directed to Electrophysics.

All customers considering the purchase of a CEDIP camera from Electrophysics should enter into that decision appreciating that FLIR Systems is committed to provide same level of service and support afforded to these products by Electrophysics since 2002. These cameras will be serviced at our Billerica, MA facility which is the largest infrared camera service facility in the world.

We fully plan to invest in the calibration equipment and training necessary to provide world class service to the entire CEDIP product line.
